Welcome back everyone!

In today’s episode I’m going to be giving you another Old Hollywood and Black History fix!
I’m going to impart some informational gems on you with some history on vintage comedy, and two prolific comedians of the era Eddie “Rochester” Anderson and Jack Benny. The two of them helped break the racial stereotyping that was prolific in comedy at the time and Eddie achieved a lot of firsts in the African American community.
There is WAY too much information to shove into one 9 minute episode, so if you’d like to find more about these two, I’m providing some additional reading for you below.❤️

What to Read:

There are a lot of books out there about Jack but none solely about Rochester! I had to do a lot of library research including old news papers and magazines of the time to find out information on him, but if you’d like something a little less research intensive try these.
